Engagement Sessions

When I got engaged, my grandma, who was starting to forget things, would ask me every time we talked on the phone what my engagement ring looked like.  It wasn't easy to explain, so I told her I would text a picture to my aunt, who visited her often.  Still, she always asked me to describe the ring, not remembering the several times my aunt showed her the picture.  After my engagement session, I was able to mail her professional pictures of the ring.  After receiving the photos, she could see the ring whenever she wanted instead of just when my aunt was visiting.  Taking a photo of something as small and detailed as a ring can be difficult if you've never done it before, but now my grandma had sharp ones that were large enough for her to see what made my ring different from everyone else's.  Plus, she now had some recent photos of me with her future grandson in Clemson, the place I always told her about, but she had never seen.

An engagement session is the perfect way to prepare yourselves for being in front of the camera on your wedding day, especially if you're camera-shy, and especially if the photographer will also be your wedding photographer.  Aside from using these on your save-the-dates, you can have more professional photos together in your first home than just your wedding pictures.  You get to wear your favorite outfits, whether it's a cocktail dress and a tailored suit or jeans with dressy shirts.  For some style inspiration, and to see some of my other engagement sessions, check them out on my blog!

Mini Couple's Sessions

Whether you're newly engaged, you're about to have your first baby, or you just don't have a lot of recent pictures together, a 30-minute photo session can help you look back on this time in your lives.
