Ava and Trey were engaged on the pier at Table Rock State Park on a summer night!
They stayed in a tiny cabin on Lake Keowee for a weekend and decided to come see Table Rock State Park. Trey liked the idea of proposing with the mountains and we decided this was a great spot since it was so easy to get there. The Table Rock visitor center is one of my favorite places in upstate South Carolina and I’m always happy to share it with someone for the first time.
Trey brought Ava to the side of the pier that faced the mountains and pointed off at something in the distance for her to look at. When Ava turned back around, Trey was down on one knee.
We originally had planned to get there during the golden hour, but the clouds were much darker than usual and the golden hour would end sooner. We got to the park about 45 minutes earlier than we planned. Just like any summer evening in South Carolina, there was a slight chance of rain, and it did sprinkle a tiny bit while we were there. The air was a little hazy, but the light was so warm and beautiful. Since there was a tiny bit of thunder right before Ava and Trey arrived, we had the visitor center mostly to ourselves.
After the engagement, Ava and Trey said they’d be roasting marshmallows together that night at the cabin. That sounds like a perfect summer night to me!
