Melissa and Tim were engaged at Pretty Place Chapel in South Carolina!
After moving Tim's daughter into college, Melissa and Tim decided to check out Pretty Place Chapel and spend the night in Greenville. It was Melissa's birthday, so Tim made a reservation at Topsoil in Travelers Rest, which they would pass through on their way back to the hotel. Tim checked the schedule and saw that it was only open for two hours on the day they'd be in town. When they got to the chapel, there were a lot of people in line to take photos in front of the cross. Tim excused himself for a minute and talked to the security guard, who told him he could stay a few minutes after closing time before they started setting up for a wedding. He texted me with the update, and I told him he could ask me to take a picture of them as we were leaving. As the last people went out the door, I walked up to the front to take an unobstructed photo of the cross and the mountains. Tim and Melissa came to the front and Tim asked me to take a photo. I moved to a spot where I liked the lighting the best, took a photo, and Tim got down on one knee.
Once we filled Melissa in on everything she didn't know, we quickly took some photos around the chapel and went down to Caesars Head State Park. This is right along the road back towards Greenville and Travelers Rest, and it's not far between the parking lot and the overlook. We quickly got some photos and headed back down the mountain so Tim and Melissa could get to their dinner reservation--they said Topsoil was great!

Ready for the best day ever?
My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.
One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.
I can’t wait to meet you!
