Cliffs at Glassy Chapel Wedding | Madison & Charles

Madison and Charles were married in front of their families on a foggy spring day in the South Carolina mountains!

Madison and Charles put so much of themselves into the little details of their wedding. Charles wore a green suit jacket and gave Madison a brooch that had been passed down through his family. Madison put this on the bouquet she made herself, which coordinated with her flowery veil, her nails, and all the decor she made. She also made the cake and the Lego cake topper with them, the kids, and their dogs.

They chose Cliffs at Glassy Chapel for their wedding ceremony, one of my favorite places in upstate South Carolina. This beautiful church sits at the edge of a cliff with a tall window at the front overlooking what's down below. The rain came in and out and the clouds moved so quickly that it would be a washout one minute and gorgeous the next minute. When you're that high up in the mountains, you're sometimes above the clouds, which is really cool. Some of the pictures we took had some unreal cloud inversion where the mountains peeked through the clouds.

Madison's son led the ceremony and Madison's mom signed off on the paperwork afterwards. Madison saved two fortunes from the fortune cookies they had on one of their first dates. She knew they foreshadowed what was to come, so she saved them to read during the wedding ceremony. They exited the chapel with bubbles, which was so pretty. We ended the night with dinner just down the road at Eagle Mountain Winery.

Ready for the best day ever?

My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.

One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.

I can’t wait to meet you!
