Wyatt and Julie were engaged in downtown Greenville on a July evening—or could you call this a midsummer night?
Wyatt and Julie's relationship started several years ago at Clemson and they moved to Greenville together. They love the food scene here and were meeting up with a friend at Coral, a restaurant they had tried once and loved. The same friend helped Wyatt decide what kind of ring Julie would like and where to do the proposal.
When Wyatt and I had our phone call, we talked about how both of us had a lot of English classes at Clemson. Studying English comes with Shakespeare, whether you like it or not. It was a good thing Wyatt does because at some point during our call, I remembered that this was a unique time of year to be downtown. He had chosen to do the proposal in the Carolina Foothills Garden, which is right behind where Shakespeare in the Park happens in the summer, a free performance of a Shakespeare play in the middle of Falls Park. We timed the proposal carefully so that Wyatt could get Julie downtown for their reservation at Coral, but the proposal itself would happen right before the play started. We were secluded enough to not have anyone watching, but we got to see bits and pieces of The Two Noble Kingsmen as we walked through Falls Park.
We took some photos in the typical places downtown, like the Reedy River Falls, the Medusa Tree, and Liberty Bridge. Wyatt and Julie decided to have a drink at Between the Trees before heading to dinner, so we took some photos close to there with the smaller waterfall. Technically, we took photos of 3 waterfalls of different sizes without getting in the car!
