Jasmine and Ezequiel are from Illinois. They wanted to experience the mountains and the beach together, so they decided to elope in the mountains and then head to the coast for a mini-honeymoon. They were drawn to South Carolina because it has options for both the beach and the mountains. They fell in love with photos they saw of Table Rock State Park, so they decided to elope there, cross Congaree off their national park list, and spend the weekend in Charleston.
Ultimately, Jasmine and Ezequiel chose Caesars Head State Park as their ceremony location because there’s an option to close off the overlook to visitors. The Caesars Head overlook faces Table Rock Mountain and it’s only about a 20-minute drive to Table Rock State Park, where we took photos afterwards. They picked a beautiful, secluded Vrbo to stay in, where we had their getting ready photos and their first look.
It was a perfect spring day in the middle of May, right before the summer heat kicked in. One thing I love about what I do is seeing people’s reactions to seeing Caesars Head for the first time. Unlike some places where you see the view as you get closer to the parking lot, you can’t see the view from Caesars Head until you’re partway down the walkway, so I actually got photos of when Jasmine and Ezequiel saw their ceremony location. Their friend Nathan officiated the ceremony, and it was nice and quiet at the top of the cliff.
We only saw a few people at Caesars Head and didn’t see anyone at all at Table Rock. We spotted turtles bobbing in Lake Oolenoy and a toad and a rabbit bouncing around the grass. Jasmine and Ezequiel set up a mini-reception on the screened porch of the VRBO rental with Scout’s Doughnuts, a cake and cookies from Sidewall Pastry Kitchen, and a beautiful tequila bottle from a local tequileria. They turned on some music and had a laid-back time on a beautiful night.

Ready for the best day ever?
My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.
One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.
I can’t wait to meet you!
