Madison and Charles were already on my calendar for their small wedding at Cliffs at Glassy, but they also wanted Vegas-style elopement photos beforehand in downtown Greenville. I was so excited when Madison showed me their inspiration photos with street crossings, neon signs, and speakeasies—it’s different from the photos I normally do, but it’s such a cool vibe and I get to flex my off-camera lighting skills.
We had a perfect May evening. Madison wore a short dress and veil to give the city elopement vibes. She made the bouquet and boutonniere herself and they had coordinating sunglasses, which came in handy when we were out in the open on a day with no clouds
We hit the typical places, like the Medusa Tree, Carolina Foothills Garden, and the Liberty Bridge. We took some photos around the building where they met through work and took some photos on the street. Madison specifically wanted “the Abbey Road shot,” but I didn’t see any zebra crossings until we got off of Main Street and had a cool view of the Hampton Inn.
We stopped by a few of their favorite places, to eat, like Jeni’s Ice Cream, Scoundrel, Coffee Underground, and Entre Nous. We didn’t know that Mondays at Camperdown Plaza are for outdoor yoga, so there was a massive group doing yoga to Pink Floyd covers, which was such a vibe!
