Greenville, SC Engagement Photos | Corbin & Ellen

Corbin proposed to Ellen in the Carolina Foothills Garden Club Sanctuary, a little spot in the woods at Falls Park.  They’d made a day trip to Greenville for Corbin’s birthday and made a dinner reservation at the restaurant where they had their first date.

It was the Friday of Fall for Greenville, the biggest event in downtown Greenville of the whole year.  I figured that the Carolina Foothills Garden Club Sanctuary would be less crowded than normal since people would be more congregated along Main Street, and I was correct.  After walking through some loud crowds for a while, the proposal spot was nice and quiet.  Corbin got down on one knee and started adjusting his sock, which made Ellen laugh, before he actually asked her to marry him.  After she said yes, he showed that there WAS actually something in his sock–a box of press-on nails because he knew she would want her nails to look nice in the photos.

Corbin chose a really unique ring box–it was shaped more like a clapper board for film, so it could easily fit into his pocket without being obvious.  Since Ellen is a nurse, it had an EKG with a heart on it.  I’m obsessed with this ring though because it has some blue accent stones on it, which she said she liked because it coordinated with Corbin’s eyes.  Once Ellen’s nails were on, we walked through downtown to take some photos.  One of the Beauty Berry bushes caught Ellen’s eye, and it’s one of my favorite fall plants, even though it doesn’t have the typical fall colors, so we took some ring photos there.  It was a beautiful sunny evening in October and I couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather for them.

Ready for the best day ever?

My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.

One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.

I can’t wait to meet you!
