Proposal at Camp Greenville | Caleb and Lyndsey

Caleb and Lyndsey woke up bright and early and drove from western Tennessee to Pretty Place. Caleb had told Lyndsey that he had gotten them tickets for a special church service there that morning. Lyndsey tried looking it up and didn’t find it, so she figured that Caleb had gotten a place just in time before the event posting was removed. When they arrived, there was only one person in the chapel (me). When they got to the front of the cross, Caleb told Lyndsey that there was actually no church service, and that nobody else was coming. He got down on one knee right in front of the cross.

Caleb had told me that they’d both seen photos and videos of Pretty Place and just knew they’d have to see it themselves sometime. He read every detail on my blog and sent me screenshots of some of his favorite photos that I’ve taken there.

We were joined in the chapel by a few crows, but other than that, it was silent all around us. It was a beautiful fall morning and we could see for miles. Since there was a wedding right before our time slot, a piece from a fall bouquet was left at the chapel, which I used for some of the ring photos.

Caleb brought a beautiful Bible and asked to have some photos of the ring with some of his favorite verses about love. He also secretly brought a “Future Mrs” sweatshirt that a friend had made for Lyndsey. On the way out, we stopped at Caesars Head State Park and took a few photos there before Caleb and Lyndsey drove off to the Biltmore for the rest of the day.

Enjoy some of my favorite photos from Caleb and Lyndsey’s fall engagement at Pretty Place Chapel!

More from the South Carolina Mountains

Ready for the best day ever?

My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.

One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.

I can’t wait to meet you!
