Brittney and Talon had a South Carolina waterfall elopement in the fall!
When I first talked to Brittney and Talon, they told me they wanted scenery that looked different from what they get back home, on the other side of South Carolina. We looked through some places together and they decided on one of my favorite waterfalls.
Brittney and Talon spent the day getting ready at an Airbnb with their dogs. Brittney did her own hair and makeup and beaded a more comfortable pair of shoes for hiking to the trail. They did a “first touch” once Brittney had her dress on, then we headed to the waterfall.
It was a beautiful Wednesday in September in Oconee County. We only encountered a few people on the trail. Talon and I started on the trail with Lisa, the officiant, and Brittney started a few minutes later with her dad. We hiked about 20 minutes before we reached the waterfall. The ceremony was short and sweet and we didn’t see anyone by the waterfall the whole time.
After taking some photos on the trail, we headed over to Stumphouse Tunnel, where we got some cool photos in and around the tunnel. We headed back to the Airbnb as the sun was setting. The Airbnb was a quick walk to Lake Hartwell, so Brittney and Talon set up a picnic and a wedding arch and popped a bottle of champagne. We took some photos by the lake with their dogs, Millie and Koda, and they had their first dance by the lake right after it got dark. We came back to the kitchen, where Brittney and Talon shared the cake that they made together.

Ready for the best day ever?
My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.
One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.
I can’t wait to meet you!
