South Carolina Mountain Engagement | Alexis & Seth

Alexis and Seth were engaged at Table Rock State Park on a beautiful fall day!

They love having fancy picnics together, so Alexis didn’t think anything of it when Seth suggested having a picnic at Table Rock.  Or when he got sushi on a heart-shaped platter, a bouquet of flowers, or battery-operated tea lights.  One of the blankets they laid out was printed with photos from their adventures together.  Seth set up a tripod for his phone to take a photo, but he didn’t tell Alexis that he switched it to a video.  He got down on one knee, and Alexis thought she was supposed to do the same when she said yes.  I was over by the visitor center pretending to take photos of the view, but I was really there to take photos of the moment.  When I introduced myself to Alexis, she said she followed me on Instagram, so Seth had apparently found a photographer she already likes!

This was right at the beginning of November, so the temperature and the fall colors were as beautiful as we could have asked for.  Table Rock is one of my favorite spots because the beautiful scenery is so easy to access, but I also love how much it changes throughout the fall.  There were some red trees and tall grass down by the water, which coordinated perfectly with the beige sweater Alexis wore that day.  Even though the beauty berry was on its way out, there was still plenty of beautiful color, and the golden hour light is so pretty in the fall!  There were a good number of people having family photos taken, but they were all so friendly and supportive of the engagement.

More from the South Carolina Mountains

Ready for the best day ever?

My name is Christine (Scott) Gow and I’m an elopement photographer based out of Greenville, South Carolina. I’m a wife and a beagle mom. The three of us have visited beautiful places in every corner of South Carolina, to include all 48 of our state parks. We love finding new outdoor places to visit, but we also love hanging out on the couch and watching Pixar movies.

One thing I love about South Carolina is that it’s not just the beaches and colorful houses that you imagine when you picture it. Whether you’re looking for mountains, beaches, or anything in between; I can help you find the perfect place for the two of you and make it as smooth of a day as possible. No matter how you two choose to spend your day, I’m happy you’re doing it the way that you want.

I can’t wait to meet you!
